Tuesday Nighters

Everybody’s talking about Tuesday Nights at PrideAlive! We meet in QueerSpace at MAP every Tuesday from 7-9 pm for food, friends, fun, and volunteer projects.

Core Group

Core Group is PrideAlive’s volunteer leadership body. Membership is open to everyone, and we need your point of view to help guide the program’s decision-making. Meetings occur once a month.

Volunteer Office Support

Hang out with the staff during business hours on a Friday and help with data entry, inventory, cleanup, and other behind-the-scenes work to help keep PrideAlive running smoothly. We also offer an every other Thursday night volunteering night which is great for anyone interesting in skill building opportunilies to ad to their resume.

Social Environment Outreach

We go to all the queer places where you love to hang out! Social environment outreach means we visit Twin Cities GLBT bars and coffee shops, distributing safer sex materials and talking with customers about how they can protect themselves and get involved with our fabulous program. We provide orientation and quarterly training for volunteers who do social environment outreach.

Public Sex OUTreach

During spring, summer, and fall, we visit public parks where guys hook up for sex, offering health information and supplies for men who like adventures out in the open. We provide special safety training and precautions for volunteers who do public sex OUTreach.

Internet OUTreach

All it takes is a little bit of training, and then you’ll be ready to help with one of our cutting-edge interventions. Hang out in chat rooms and answer guys’ questions about HIV, STDs and PrideAlive activities.

Special Events

From ValleyFair to nights at the theater, holiday parties to hiking trips, PrideAlive keeps you busy with fun get-togethers for all kinds of queers. We need volunteers just like you to help plan, put together, and work at the events. Social event planning meetings occur during our weekly Tuesday & Thursday Nighters.

Twin Cities Pride Festival

The Twin Cities have one of the four largest pride festivals in the country and we need volunteers every year to set up, work at, and tear down our booth. If you’re interested in getting some sun and meeting tons of beautiful people while promoting PrideAlive, be sure to sign up.

Political Action

If you’re tired of being treated as a second-class citizen, get hooked up with PrideAlive and get active in the fight for a healthy queer community. We register voters, support MAP’s public policy efforts, and occasionally join with groups like OutFront Minnesota to raise a loud queer voice for a brighter GLBT future.
